An interest in photography somehow leads to the assembly of things photographic. Having been at this avocation for over 30 years, with both my wife and I having had a professional interest in wildlife, the collection has expanded from film, motor wind and battery back to multiple digital cameras and lenses. My discovery of Cotton Carrier has been liberating. Starting with the vest I could hike hands free. The steady shot replaced the tripod. The sidekick, which I was told may be coming back, has become my wife's possession and carrier. The third digital unit needed a home, so the wanderer holster attached to the vest was purchased. Each camera has a niche in our photography and a secure place on the carriers.

All of the Cotton Carrier equipment is thoughtfully designed and impeccably constructed. I am not quite sure how my wife and I would do what we do without it.

I have really enjoyed using the wanderer during my family vacation through Yellowstone and Rocky Mountain National Parks. It is very easy to transfer from my belt to the stap of my kid carrier hiking backpack. The carrier holds my camera securely but allows me quick access and has allowed me to catch many pictures that I would not have had I needed to put the backpack down. I also really hate neck straps and things hanging off of my shoulders, and I expect this will become my regular way to carry the camera from nown on! Love it, zero complaints!

The holster makes all the difference in my confidence while moving around. No more swinging camera, no more having to hold my camera to keep it from bumping people or things. It's just always secured to my hip, ready to rock.

I am almost always packing at least two cameras for multiple assignments, and even just for fun, shooting video and still images. Back in the day, I had two SLRs around my neck. Now, I only have a lightweight video camera on my neck, with a full frame digital camera and any lens riding in the Cotton Carrier side holster. The redistribution of weight is a big deal, and makes long days at an air show more comfortable. To avoid strain on the camera body lens mount, I put the Cotton Carrier disc attachment on the tripod collar of my biggest telephoto lenses, and let the lens and camera rest in the holster that way. The security tether gives peace of mind just in case... Yes, I am a big fan.

This is just what I've been looking for to keep my camera in place and not bouncing around while I'm hiking.
I've tried so many different straps but when I saw the holster I knew I needed to try it.
I had a small issue with the teether strap that came with the holster and their customer service took care of it right away.
